Universal Pictures is teaming with Epic Games for an original, animated short-form miniseries titled “We Will Be Monsters”.
The shorts will update Universal’s classic monster characters such as the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Mummy for modern times and spread across more global locations including Hong Kong, Morocco, Los Angeles and Nigeria.
After the drop of the initial episode, gamers will be able to buy skins of the newly designed characters and use them in “Fortnite”.
Rick Famuyiwa, who helmed several episodes of “The Mandalorian,” directed the miniseries which premieres October 28th inside Fortnite as part of its Shortnitemares Festival.
Episodes two through four will be released early next year.
