Netflix has released the first full trailer for the Sandra Bullock-led drama “The Unforgivable” – her first film role since 2018’s “Bird Box”.
The project is a film adaptation of “Happy Valley” creator Sally Wainwright’s 2009 ITV miniseries “Unforgiven” and sees Bullock star as Ruth Slater, a woman released from prison after serving a twenty-year sentence for a violent crime.
Attempting to re-enter society is difficult though and complicated by a community more interested in judgment than forgiveness. Slater attempts to locate her estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Aisling Franciosi, Rob Morgan, Richard Thomas, Linda Emond and Emma Nelson co-star. Nora Fingscheidt directs the project co-written by Peter Craig, Hillary Seitz and Courtenay Miles.
“The Unforgivable” releases in select U.S. theaters on November 24th and Netflix on December 10th.
