PlayStation’s Feb 2021 State Of Play

Sony held a ‘State of Play’ presentation the other day during which they made several game release date announcements and showed off some trailers.

“Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time” will be upgraded on March 12th to run at 4K and 60fps for PS5 along with faster loading, adaptive triggers and 3D audio.

The “Final Fantasy VII” remake will get an upgrade with “Final Fantasy VII Intergrade” on June 11th offering better textures, fog effects, lighting, faster loading and a choice between graphics and performance mode (one is 4K, the other 60fps).

The long awaited “Oddworld Soulstorm” is arriving at last on April 6th and will be free on PS5 for Playstation Plus members.

First look trailers were out for developer Sloclap’s new stylised fight game “SIFU,” and the “Hyperlight Drifter” development team’s new title set within a black hole called “Solar Ash.”

There was also the “Control”-esque “Returnal” which has set an April 30th release date, the “Breath of the Wild”-esque “Kena: Bridge of Spirits” which hits August 24th, dodgebrawl game “Knockout City” which arrives May 21st, and the likes of “Deathloop” and “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach” later in 2021.
