Production kicked off in New Orleans on “Renfield” last month and now finally the first set photos have emerged of Nicolas Cage in costume as Dracula in the Universal Pictures title.
People published the photos from the set of the movie which stars Nicholas Hoult as the eponymous deranged acolyte who has grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula’s lackey.
The henchman finds a new lease on life and maybe even redemption when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina).
Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, James Moses Black, Caroline Williams, Bess Rous and Shohreh Aghdashloo co-star in the feature which hails from “The Tomorrow War” director Chris McKay and “Rick and Morty” writer Ryan Ridley.
“Renfield” opens in theaters on April 14th 2023.
