Paramount and Skydance are once again pushing back the release date of the next “Mission: Impossible”.
At last report, the feature was slated for a September 30th 2022 release. Now the film has been pushed back ten months to a July 7th 2023 opening.
In addition, the eighth “Mission: Impossible” film has scored the new date of June 28th 2024. This marks just the latest move following the seventh film, and industry as a whole, being hit by COVID-19 production issues.
Cruise, Paramount and Skydance still have “Top Gun: Maverick” currently on track for a May 27th 2022 opening – nearly two years after it was first slated to open. That film isn’t expected to shift again.
