Keane picks out five Man Utd men causing ‘biggest problems’

Roy Keane has pinpointed the five Man Utd players that are still causing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the “biggest problems” after they drew 0-0 with Manchester City on Saturday.

After dreadful defending played a key role in a costly defeat at RB Leipzig that saw them slip into the Europa League, United’s players showed the kind of focus and organisation that had been lacking in Germany.

Man Utd looked solid but lacked a prolonged attacking threat in a drab 0-0 draw against City at an empty Old Trafford, where the video assistant referee overturned a second-half penalty as Marcus Rashford had strayed offside before being fouled by Kyle Walker.

Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne had chances for City but they too lacked a cutting edge.

Despite keeping a clean sheet against their rivals, Keane still thinks the Red Devils’ defence is their “big concern”.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said: “We talk about trust in football, the back four and the goalkeeper are for me still the biggest problems [for Manchester United].

“Okay, they did well today but that’s not a back-four that will take you places and that’s a big concern.

“You just don’t know what you’re going to get from Man United right now. That’s not a good sign when you’re not sure what you’re going to get from the team.

“Can you really trust this group to go on a run? The answer is no.”
