“Grand Theft Auto Trilogy” Remaster Trailer

Rockstar Games

After officially announcing the title the other month, Rockstar Games has released a new trailer for “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” launching November 11th in digital form and December 7th in physical form.

This time the trailer offers the thing we’ve been wanting to see – namely video comparing how shots within the original games looked and how they’ve been jazzed up by the remaster. The games in question include “Grand Theft Auto III,” “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” and “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas”.

Visuals are noticeably improved with far more realistic lighting, better textures, foliage, water and draw distances. Characters take on a more stylized cartoonish look.

Controls have been adjusted to be closer to “Grand Theft Auto V” with better targeting controls, improved gunplay, more streamlined weapon and radio station wheels, mini-maps that let players set waypoints, and the ability to immediately a mission over upon failure.

The PC version will have NVIDIA DLSS support, the PS5 and Xbox Series X iterations will have 4K/60fps performance. The Switch version will also have Gyro aiming and touch screen support for camera zooming, pans, and its menus.
