Man Utd aren’t backing down from Harry Kane. But they are making contingency plans in the shape of Danny Ings…
UNITED TURN ATTENTION TO INGS
Wednesday’s whispers suggested that Manchester United are set to miss out on both Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho this summer. So it seems they have changed tack and are now apparently shopping in the bargain basement.
Because, according to The Telegraph, the Red Devils have made an enquiry over Danny Ings. The Southampton striker is set to leave St Mary’s this summer as he approaches the final year of his contract.
Manchester City and Tottenham have both been linked with a move for Ings, but United have joined them in the race for the 28-year-old.

UNITED TO CHUCK IN MORE PART-EX OPTIONS TO TEMPT KANE
But if Kane can be convinced that Old Trafford is the place for him, and Spurs entertain the possibility of selling him, then United are apparently willing to chuck a couple of big names in to sweeten the deal.
On Tuesday it was claimed that Daniel Levy would accept Anthony Martial in part-exchange and it’s a line rehashed by Football Insider. But their report suggests that Jesse Lingard might be thrown in too.
How much might the attackers eat into the Kane fee? £50-60million the pair?

GRIEZMANN LINKED WITH ATLETICO RETURN
Having apparently secured a bank loan for around half a billion euros, Barcelona may now be able to pay their current squad the wages they are owed, as well as perhaps a couple of new ones.
They continue to be linked with free agent Memphis Depay and there are some suggestions this morning from Sport that Barca could grant Antoine Griezmann a return to Atletico in exchange for another attacker.
The story goes that Barca and Atletico would simply swap big name talents, with Joao Felix heading to the Nou Camp.

ARSENAL EYE NETO
Neto perhaps won’t be there to welcome Felix or anyone else to Barca. The goalkeeper is set to be one of a number of senior players who will depart the Nou Camp.
Handily, Arsenal will take him. So says Mundo Deportivo.
Arsenal will probably need a keeper this summer, with Bernd Leno apparently up for grabs if they can find a buyer.
The Gunners wanted Neto on loan in January but Barca dug their heels in. Temporarily perhaps…
Because Arsenal are said to have gone back to Barcelona to ask if their Neto stance as changed.
