A new trailer for the Ryan Reynolds-led action-comedy “Free Guy” is arriving tomorrow, and to promote that news the studio has opted to try out a different angle than the usual several second ‘teaser of a trailer’.
With Bond delayed, “Free Guy” is now the next major studio live-action feature currently slated to open with a December 11th release being targeted. So the cast and director Shawn Levy have decided to play around with that in this clip in which they acknowledge the date could be changed and show off how they might prepare for it.
The film sees Reynolds playing Guy, a non-player character (NPC) in a video game who is unaware of the fact that he’s in a video game until he puts on a special pair of glasses. This average joe eventually seeks to become a hero in his own right and aims to save his game before developers can shut it down.
Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rey Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi co-star.
