“Falcon” Pair Writing “Captain America 4”

Malcolm Spellman, the head writer and show creator behind the just finished airing Marvel Studios TV series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” for the Disney+ service, has scored a new gig.

Spellman will team with Dalan Musson, a staff writer on the show, on a fourth installment in the “Captain America” film franchise for the company. Spellman and Musson co-write the project with no castings yet announced.

Up until this point, Chris Evans played the Steve Rogers version of Captain America in a trio of solo movies and four “Avengers” features. The recent series closed out with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson assuming the mantle.

No director is attached and Evans’ involvement or return remains unconfirmed.
