“Doomlands” To Debut Next Friday On Roku

Adult animated comedy series “Doomlands,” originally greenlit as a Quibi original back in 2020, has set a January 28th launch date on The Roku Channel.

Created by Josh O’Keefe who showruns with Lee Porter, the project is dubbed “Mad Max meets Cheers” and makes big homages to Ozploitation and sci-fi cinema. It’s also Roku’s first venture into the adult animation genre.

The series looks at the life of the infamous Danny Doom and aspiring bartender, Lhandi, as they sling beers across a post-apocalyptic wasteland in their mobile pub.

Facing ruthless desert gangs, memory-stealing creeps, and even mean bathroom graffiti, all this crew’s got to do to survive is not kill each other. The series stars Mark Little as Danny Doom and Kayla Lorette as Lhandi.
