Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is nonplussed over the prospect of Lionel Messi becoming his team-mate at the Etihad.
Messi demanded to leave Barcelona this summer when it was reported that City were at the front of the queue to sign the Argentina genius.
But the Barca star backed down to avoid facing his boyhood club in court after the Catalans refused to allow him to leave for nothing.
It is expected, though, that Messi will again seek to quit the Nou Camp next summer, when City will again be in the hunt.
Not that De Bruyne is getting carried away about the potential of playing alongside Messi in the City attack.
“I don’t really care to be honest,” he said.
“If he comes it’s a good thing, if he doesn’t there are enough good players at the club who I enjoy playing with, so that is not for now.”
De Bruyne has also discussed his City future and the prospect of a new contract.
