Chris Evans will star alongside Dwayne Johnson in the holiday event film “Red One” at Amazon Studios.
The story is set within the holiday genre, but plot specifics are under wraps other than it being a “globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy” set in a ‘whole new universe’.
Hiram Garcia created the original story while Jake Kasdan (“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”) is directing from a screenplay by Chris Morgan (“Hobbs and Shaw”).
Johnson, Morgan, Garcia, Kasdan, Dany Garcia, Melvin Mar and Sky Salem Robinson produce. Shooting kicks off later this year for a Holiday 2023 release.
