Charlotte Crosby came close to missing the Grand Prix in Dubai after she was ‘nearly arrested’ when a sex toy was found in her luggage at the airport.
The former Geordie Shore star, 31, was travelling to the United Arab Emirates alongside pal and CEO of InTheStyle, Adam Frisby, this week when she had the close call.
According to Adam, who was documenting their trip on his Instagram, the pair were left pleading with airport security.
He wrote on Instagram as the pair travelled in a taxi: ‘Finally here after a stressful experience…’
Adam, who shared the pair were spending a couple of days in Dubai before heading to the Grand Prix, explained: ‘Charlotte and I got pulled at the airport because she had a sex toy in her hand luggage.
‘She nearly got arrested and we had to plead with airport security. I mean you couldn’t make it up. Absolute belter of a start.’
Charlotte has long professed the joy of a good sex toy, having promoted them in the past.
Be that as it may, though, laws around sex toys in the UAE is strict and it’s illegal to bring one into the United Arab Emirates or to have them delivered there.
If found, they are likely to be confiscated and the owner could be prosecuted.
The reality star didn’t seem to be too put out by the alleged moment, as she shared snaps from her hotel, as well as a short clip of her gruelling workout in the gym.
Despite Adam joking Charlotte knows little about the upcoming Grand Prix, the pair are in for a nail-biting race.
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton go into the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday tied on 369.5 points after a year of ebb and flow racing.
Red Bull’s Verstappen looked favourite to claim a maiden title until Hamilton – aiming for a record eighth drivers’ championship – won the past three races heading into the finale at Yas Marina.
