“District 9” and “Elysium” filmmaker Neill Blomkamp reportedly shot an entire supernatural horror movie in secret over the Summer and during the coronavirus pandemic.
Blomkamp also wrote the script for the movie which was shot in Canada’s British Columbia with mostly local actors. While plot specifics are under wraps, this marks his first feature since 2015’s “Chappie”.
Post-production is expected to be finished around spring of next year. Blomkamp was slated to make “Inferno” starring Taylor Kitsch but that project was scuttled due to the pandemic and so the focus shifted to this smaller production.
