A pastor who is under investigation for selling oil and string as coronavirus ‘cures’ has been allowed to advertise on London buses.
Climate Wiseman, who identifies as a prophet, was exposed by Southwark News in April for selling coronavirus ‘protection’ kits, consisting of oil and red string, for £91.
A post on the ministry’s website said: ‘It is by faith that you can be saved from the coronavirus pandemic by covering yourself with the Divine Plague Protection Oil and wearing the Scarlet Yarn on your body.
‘That is why I want to encourage you, if you haven’t done so already, to get your Divine Plague Protection Kit today!’
Since then the Charity Commission has been investigating the pastor, Kingdom Church and the church’s finances.
Despite this, Transport for London has allowed Mr Climate to advertise himself as a prophet on buses in the capital.
The advert, which will run until February 21, also shows his church service times on the side.
It read: ‘There Is A God In Heaven, His name is Yahweh! There Is A Prophet in London His Name Is Bishop Climate.’
Mr Climate previously told Southwark News that his church, in Camberwell, South London, was only being investigated because of ‘negative publicity’.
He said he would continue to sell the ‘healing oils’ under the name ‘divine protection oils’ instead of ‘plague protection kits’.
A TfL spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘The advert was reviewed by TfL and is compliant with its advertising policy.’
They added the advert’s ‘focus is on the church’ and said TfL had not received any complaints about the advert – but the Advertising Standards Agency had.
The Charity Commission said: ‘Our inquiry into The Kingdom Church GB is ongoing and we are unable to comment further at this time so as not to prejudice the outcome of the inquiry.
‘We intend to publish a report setting out our findings on conclusion of the inquiry.’
