Well, a new year means a new Series limited edition LC 500 from Lexus , it’s a stunner. The new Inspiration Series was announced by Lexus on Tuesday and is again limited to just 100 units.
What, aside from the serialized badge, makes the 2021 Inspiration Series LC 500 special this time around? Well, Lexus decided to give it a little performance bump in the form of a limited-slip differential and a Yamaha-designed “rear performance rod with damper” that promises increased suspension stiffness. Both of these are optional on standard LC 500 models.

There’s also a new spoiler out back, which had its design inspired by Red Bull Air Race Yoshihide Muroya’s racing plane. It’s a much more subtle design than you might think, too, and it does a good job of livening up the LC’s rear a bit. Lexus also claims that it’s functional, providing a measure of downforce at speed.
The car is finished exclusively in a very lovely shade called Obsidian and paired with a black and brown interior. There are 21-inch wheels and a carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic roof. The rest is pretty standard including its lovely 471-horsepower naturally-aspirated V8 engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Inspiration Series LC 500 is said to be due out “later this winter,” and while we don’t have official pricing for it, we’d expect it to sit somewhere just north of $100,000.
