Watch: Roy Keane aims jibe at Harry Kane at Tottenham

Harry Kane enjoyed a night to remember at Wembley, scoring a first-half hat-trick as England demolished Albania 5-0 – but he still didn’t escape the wrath of Roy Keane.

The former Manchester United captain turned box office pundit was on ITV punditry duty alongside Arsenal legend Ian Wright and ex-Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.

Kane’s form has come into question amid Spurs’ struggles this season. Last term he finished top of the Premier League charts for both goals and assists, but he only has one goal and one assist from 10 appearances in the competition so far in 2021-22.

Yet he still continues to produce the goods for England, with 10 goals in his last 10 appearances for the national team.

Ahead of kick-off, Keane gave his view on how the 28-year-old striker is performing.

“He’s got to liven up,” Keane said. “He’s got to look at himself and get over these disappointments. Listen, he plays for Spurs, he should be used to disappointments. It’s not like they win stuff.”

Arsenal through and through, Wright was loving it, while even Defoe couldn’t hide his smile as Keane aimed the jibe at his former club.
