TV Promos: Kominsky, Flatbush, Monday, Bad

A couple of TV promo trailers worth a look today starting with the preview for the third and final season of Netflix’s “The Kominsky Method”.

Morgan Freeman and Barry Levinson guest star in the new season with the trailer also confirming the fate of former regular Norman Newlander (Alan Arkin) after Arkin decided to exit the series abruptly.

The trailer also serves as something of a reunion of “Romancing the Stone” stars Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. Turner guest-starred last season as the ex-wife of Douglas’ character but will have a much bigger role in the coming season.

“The Kominsky Method” is scheduled to make its return on May 28th.

Next comes a trailer for Showtime’s “Flatbush Misdemeanors,” a new half-hour comedy created and starring Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman as guys struggling to thrive in their new surroundings in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

The series, premiering May 23rd, explores two long-time friends seeking to climb out of their heads and connect with others.

Then comes the trailer for the third season of Showtime’s cult 80s set hit “Black Monday” starring Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall.

As season three begins, Monroe and the gang have been kicked out of Wall Street, dealing with that aftermath, but always on the neverending hustle. The series returns May 23rd.

Finally, Disney+ has released a catch-up clip explaining who The Bad Batch of the upcoming animated series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” are – going into the past history of the fan-favorite characters from the long-running “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” ahead of their spin-off launching this coming Tuesday (May 4th).

The series follows the group as after they evade execution orders and recruit new members to their team, while navigating the galaxy. Ming Na-Wen’s elite mercenary Fennec Shand from “The Mandalorian” is also set to appear in the series executive produced by Dave Filoni.
