Rick and Morty
Even though the fifth season of animated comedy “Rick and Morty” has yet to premiere, writing on the seventh season is reportedly already underway according to series writer Alex Rubens.
In 2018 those involved signed a 70 episode deal to join the 31 episodes aired over three seasons at that time. This means that the series is guaranteed to run at least a tenth season assuming they stay at the current rate of ten episodes each. [Source: Twitter]
Fall River
Epix has announced a May 16th premiere for the four-part docuseries “Fall River” about a string of murders in Fall River, Massachusetts in 1979. Blumhouse Television and MGM producing the project which James Buddy Day directs.
The police alleged a satanic cult was practising human sacrifice and its leader was captured and sent to prison for life. Twenty years later the retired lead investigator Paul Carey became so haunted by inconsistencies that he re-investigated and found evidence that brought the entire story into question. Untitled Cartoon Saloon Series
Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon (“Wolfwalkers,” “The Secret of Kells”) and directors Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart have confirmed their next project, once that finish the Nora Twomey-helmed feature”My Father’s Dragon,” is a twelve-episode half-hour “big series” at Apple TV+ all with feature-quality, hand-drawn animation. A bunch of key promo commercials have been released today including one for the third season of “Mayans MC,” the second season of Showtime’s “City on a Hill,” HBO’s Tina Turner documentary “Tina,” Netflix’s historical doco “Age of Samurai,” a generalised promo for the 2021 line-up of HBO including a first look at Oscar Isaac in “Scenes from a Marriage,” a teaser for the second season of “Stargirl,” and a ‘rest of season’ promo for the first season of “Superman and Lois”.
