The Essex Serpent
Apple TV+ has set a May 13th premiere date for Clio Barnard’s six-episode limited series “The Essex Serpent” starring Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston. The first two episodes will launch on that date with the rest released weekly after.

Based on Sarah Perry’s bestselling novel, the story follows London widow Cora Seaborne (Danes) who moves to Essex to investigate reports of a mythical serpent. She forms an unlikely bond with the village vicar (Hiddleston), but when tragedy strikes, locals accuse her of attracting the creature. Frank Dillane, Clemence Poésy and Hayley Squires co-star. The Winchesters
Nida Khurshid (“Station 19”) and newcomer Jojo Fleites are the first to be cast in The CW’s “Supernatural” prequel spin-off series “The Winchesters”. Both play fellow hunters in the series that Jensen Ackles and Danneel Ackles executive produce.

The series centers on Dean and Sam Winchester’s parents – John and Mary – and explores how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world. [Source: Deadline]

Heels
Starz’s critically acclaimed pro wrestling drama “Heels” has officially begun filming on its second season with stars Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig posting a photo from the set. “Heels” received universal acclaim upon release with a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. [Source: Twitter]

Shelter
Amazon Prime has given a series order for its young-adult action-thriller “Shelter” based on Harlan Coben’s Mickey Bolitar novels. MGM International Television Productions and Amazon Studios.

Jaden Michael stars as high school junior Mickey Bolitar as he navigates a new school in New Jersey. When another new student goes missing, Mickey searches for her and learns everything she told him was a lie and he is in serious danger. Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith and Abby Corrigan co-star.
