Head of the Class
HBO Max has cancelled its update of the 1986-91 sitcom “Head of the Class” after a single season. All ten episodes of the multi-camera series were released on the service in early November. As HBO Max doesn’t release viewing data for its programming, it’s not clear what numbers it did. [Source: THR]
Sweet Valley
“Gossip Girl” creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are set to adapt Francine Pascal’s “Sweet Valley High” young adult book series into a series for The CW.
ViacomCBS, CBS Studios and Paramount TV Studios are backing the project which Ashley Wigfield will write and deals with a new girl in the titular Californian town who must find out who is manipulating a pair of estranged twin sisters. [Source: Deadline]
Big Nate
The voice cast has been announced for the Nickelodeon and Paramount+ 26-episode animated series “Big Nate” which will debut early next year and is based on the books and comic strips by Lincoln Peirce. The story follows an 11-year-old boy and his best friends.

Cliffhanger
FOX is developing a one-hour darkly comedic drama series based on the “Cliffhanger” novels by TJ Middleton. Melissa Byer and Treena Hancock are writing and executive producing.
The show follows the quirky exploits of rideshare driver Audrey Greenwood who never wants to see her husband’s face again and tries to kill him. Amazon has scored the screen rights to the fantasy novel “The Atlas Six” with plans to develop a TV series alongside author Alexene Farol Follmuth (aka Olivie Blake) and Uk production house Brightstar.
