Amazon has premiered the trailer for “Reacher,” the new TV series adaptation of Lee Child’s novel series about veteran military police investigator turned civilian drifter Jack Reacher.
Tom Cruise starred as the character in both the well-regarded 2012 Christopher McQuarrie-directed film and the not so well thought of 2016 Ed Zwick-directed sequel.
The series sees Alan Ritchson take over the role, the “Titans” and “Smallville” actor physically resembling the ‘blond giant’ of the novels better. Also onboard are Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster, Hugh Thompson, Maria Sten, Harvey Guillén, Kristin Kreuk, Currie Graham, Marc Bendavid, Willie C. Carpenter, Maxwell Jenkins, and Bruce McGill.
Nick Santora (“Prison Break”) serves as showrunner on the series which will adapt the first book “Killing Floor” across its first season.
“Jack Reacher” premieres on Amazon Prime on February 4th.
