WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar has posted the first concept art for “House of the Dragon,” the upcoming “Game of Thrones” spin-off prequel series.
Kilar also shared that principal photography on the new series will begin ‘in a few months’ with filming to take place primarily in England.
The ten-episode series is set three centuries prior to the events of “Game of Thrones” and chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens, the only family of dragon lords to survive the Doom of Valyria.
Paddy Considine will star in the leading role of King Viserys I, father of Rhaenyra and Aegon II. The series is eyeing a 2022 debut.
