A Taylor Swift fan who was mistakenly handed a box of exclusive signed CDs has returned them to their rightful owner.
The singer recently released her eighth studio album Folklore, which has proved to be a massive success, topping charts all over the world and selling more than 1.3 million copies in 24 hours.
Last week Taylor surprised a number of independent record stores located in the US by sending them signed versions of the record and, as you can imagine, fans were desperate to get their hands on a copy.
One particular fan ended up with an entire box of CDs outside The Exclusive Co record store in Wisconsin in the US after the delivery was accidentally given to her instead of the store manager.
Brandy Baenen, 26, arrived at the store with her boyfriend 15 minutes before it was due to open, in the hopes of picking up a signed album.
Shortly after, a delivery driver turned up and asked if they were waiting to go into the store, all before getting them to sign for the package.
After reading the outside of the box, Brandy knew that the order contained the signed Folklore CDs.
And although she could easily have kept the autographed versions for herself or sold them online, Brandy decided to hand the delivery over to the record store manager when the shop opened its doors.
Speaking to the PA news agency, she explained: ‘It never occurred to me to even open the package, or walk away with it.
‘Taylor Swift would not have wanted me to do anything with those CDs, other than make sure they got to where they needed to go.’
She continued: ‘When the manager opened the store, he asked us if there was anything he could help us find, and we said yes – we want what’s in that package.
‘He was so surprised and said what we did really shows the character of Taylor Swift fans. That made me really happy.’
Brandy revealed she has been a ‘huge fan’ of Taylor since middle school and her music has helped her get through difficult periods in life.
She added that she feels ‘so happy’ to know her good deed has led to the 30-year-old recognising her.
‘All I ever wanted was for Taylor Swift to know I exist and I love her, and now she does,’ she stated.
