I was inspired to write this today. I truly had decided to write something on Yoga and its benefits but for some reason I was drawn to write about this topic today and between you and me I still don’t know how this is going to turn out but I am going with the flow and with the inner divinity that you and I possess.

Success is such a sought after commodity in today’s world. There are millions of people who want to be “successful”. It means so much to them that they are willing to give up everything to attain success. But what is success and how is it measured in the common man’s terms? In a dictionary it is “Favourable or desired outcome, attainment of wealth.” The latter definition is the closest that people associate success with.

In this material world success is measured by the cars you drive, the diamonds that sparkle on you, the lavish lifestyle you live and the amount of money you spend. I want to take a moment to say that “nothing is wrong with the above”. If you have the money and the diamonds and if you have that success quotient then by all means you have to enjoy your life and live it to the fullest. I am not here to preach to you about how you should give up your life and retreat to a cave in the Himalayas. Though it has been done before and Lord Gautama Buddha is the best example of that.

Success is measured by society in the ways I mentioned above. So most of us feel compelled to live up to that expectation. This is where the problem lies and what I want to discuss with you. No human being is the same as another human being. We are made “unique”. Even identical and fraternal twins have distinctly different personalities and characters. According to research you may find that there are 8 people or so in the world that look exactly like you but “they are very different from you in character, beliefs, success measurability etc. It is impossible to find someone exactly like you. This is because the Divine in all his wisdom has made it this way. NO Xerox copies or replicas. Isn’t that just wonderful and something to marvel at?

Stay Strong and Beautiful!
