Singer and “Dunkirk” actor Harry Styles has scored one of the key roles in the Olivia Wilde-directed thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” for New Line.
The story is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert and centers on a housewife who uncovers a disturbing truth about her seemingly perfect life.
Florence Pugh and Chris Pine lead the cast while Wilde herself has a key supporting role onscreen. Styles replaces Shia LaBeouf, who had to depart the project due to a scheduling conflict.
Katie Silberman wrote the screenplay based on a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke. Filming aims to begin this Fall.
