Studiocanal Adapts Christie’s “Endless Night”

EMI Films

Studiocanal and The Picture Company are teaming for a new film adaptation of the Agatha Christie thriller “Endless Night”.

Preston Thompson will pen this take on the 1967 book about a young couple in love who move to a secluded property in the countryside of England.

Once there, a series of strange events unfolds that turns their new romance into a harrowing nightmare that they must find their way out of. The book was previously adapted for the screen in 1972.

The story, which does not include either Jane Marple or Hercule Poirot, is often considered one of the darkest of Christie’s works and scored some of the best critical reviews of her career.

Andrew Rona & Alex Heineman will produce. The news comes as Kenneth Branagh’s film adaptation of Christie’s “Death on the Nile” arrives next month.
