Following in the wake of three joke titles released yesterday, Sony Pictures has now announced that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is the true official title of the upcoming third Tom Holland-led Spider-Man movie which is currently in production.
The announcement follows in the wake of the first photos and three joke titles announced yesterday by the main cast including “Spider-Man: Phone Home,” “Spider-Man: Home Wrecker” and “Spider-Man: Home Slice”. Of course, the internet ran with that and numerous other suggestions came up ranging from “Spider-Man: Work from Home” to “Spider-Man: Home-o-Erotic”.
It also follows on from numerous interviews (often without pants) by Holland himself to promote his Apple TV+ film “Cherry”. Holland, whose still very much shooting the new Spidey, hasn’t said much but did talk to Cinema Blend about one key fight sequence:
“I saw an edit three or four days ago of a fight scene that we’ve been shooting for about a month. And it is easily the most impressive fight scene I’ve ever seen in a superhero movie. I was blown away by it. From the work that the stunt boys have done, to the work that some of the actors and myself have done on set, it’s just been incredible, and I’m really, really excited for people to see it.”
Jon Watts once again helms the film which is currently scheduled to open on December 17th.
