Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has declared himself ‘very, very happy’ with Manchester United’s display in the 3-1 win at West Ham.
United were extremely poor in the first half which saw the Hammers take a deserved lead through Tomas Soucek.
Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes were dispatched from the bench at the break before second-half goals from Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Rashford saw United come from behind to snatch all three points.
Solskjaer admitted his side had not played well before the break but was delighted with the response after it.
He told Sky Sports: “At the end of the season, you don’t care about the performance.
At the moment, we know there are things we need to improve on, especially the quality in the first half, some simple passes, simple touches that we didn’t act as well as we should have.
“But then again second half, some of that quality came back, as it shows with the three goals. All of them were absolutely exceptional.”

Solskjaer also gave credit to the Hammers for the way they started the game.
He said: “We played against a team who has drawn to City, they’ve beaten Leicester, Wolves, they’ve drawn to Tottenham – they’re a good team and they make it difficult for you.
“They’re very compact, they’re aggressive, the pressing is very good, one of the better ones in the league, how compact they are winning the ball from you, so I’m very, very pleased with the performance.”
The United boss added with a smile: “Last week, we were 2-0 down at Southampton and this was a step forward, we were only 1-0 down.”
