“The Nice Guys” and “Iron Man 3” writer/director Shane Black is developing a new animated TV series based on James Mullaney’s supernatural book series about a private investigator.
“Crag Banyon P.I” follows the adventures of Banyon, an alcoholic ex-cop and current private investigator, as he solves cases in an alternate noir, otherworldly reality.
Black and Mullaney will write and executive produce the project alongside “The Simpsons Movie” director David Silverman with the latter helming if the project receives a presentation order at Fox Entertainment.
Greg Silverman, Paul Shapiro, David Greenblatt and Tripp Vinson would also executive produce. Bento Box will produce the animation.
