Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the ten-episode drama series “Maid” which hails from Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment and stars Margaret Qualley (“The Leftovers,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”).
The story follows a single mother’s incredible story of hard work as she endures a low-paying housecleaning job in order to escape an abusive relationship, overcome homelessness and create a better life for her daughter.
Nick Robinson, Anika Noni Rose, Tracy Vilar and Billy Burke co-star while this also marks the first on-screen pairing of real-life mother-daughter duo Qualley and Andie MacDowell.
The series is based on the New York Times best-selling memoir by Stephanie Land who also serves as an executive producer. Molly Smith Metzler is also set as the showrunner.
“Maid” is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, October 1st.
