Rocksteady’s “Suicide Squad” Game Unveiled

After years of rumor and speculation, UK-based video game developer Rocksteady Studios used the DC Fandome event to officially show off the first trailer for their upcoming new game – “Suicide Squad”.

Like with their three “Batman: Arkham” titles, this is based on the DC Comics property featuring the fan-favorite supervillain team who this time have to take down a Superman that has gone bad and a Metropolis under siege from Brainiac. This will be set in the same mythology as those earlier games and is a 1-4 player co-op. In single player mode, you will have bots/AI on your squad and you can switch between members at any time.

The trailer comes at an awkward time for Rocksteady who has had to release a statement on Twitter this week addressing recent claims that it failed to respond to concerns about sexual harassment at the studio. They added that they are committing to work with an independent third-party to address any new complaints that might come up in the future.

The project is also separate from the Warner Bros. Games Montreal title “Batman: Gotham Knights” which released its own trailer earlier today.
