Filming will begin at the Docklands Studios in Melbourne, Australia in early 2022 on the unusual Robbie Williams biopic “Better Man”.
Michael Gracey (“The Greatest Showman”) directs the film which will see the famed UK entertainer, and one of the best-selling global artists of all time, portrayed by a CGI monkey according to reports earlier this year. Williams is expected to appear as himself as well.
The project will offer an introspective look into the experiences that shaped Williams, both on and off stage. Some of his songs will be re-interpreted and recontextualized in the film.
Docklands Studios have been most recently home to filming on NBC’s drama series “La Brea” and the Netflix miniseries “Clickbait”.
