A stunning and stunningly powerful laptop that would certainly be at position one or position two in my list of go-to high-end mobile powerhouses.

With the 4K version of its 15.6-inch laptop, Razer is saying it’s not just for gamers. This is also an ideal platform for creators who want lots of power on the go and a brilliant display. There’s no denying that it’s pricey, though, but it is rather brilliant too.

Razer’s latest Blade 15 Advanced brings a series of improvements, which is always great to see in a laptop that already has a comfortable lead over the competition in terms of design. But if you’ve been paying attention to this year’s fleet of gaming laptops, the margin of Razer’s lead is shrinking.

If you’re absolutely in love with the Razer design and approach, then the Blade 15 Advanced is made for you. That said, there are other laptops, like the MSI GE66 Raider, that offer a little more power for around the same price.

The 2020 Razer Blade 15 Advanced Edition combines some of the most powerful laptop components available with a slick all-metal design that stands above the rest, though the top configurations are very pricey.

The Razer Blade 15 returns this year with even more power and speed without sacrificing any of its portability.

The screen, especially for watching videos, is nothing short of a game changer. If the framerates were averaging above 200 on titles, I feel this would be worth the extra money. As the benchmarks show, however, it seems games could get this with G-Sync and a 144hz display. I enjoy the technology implemented to help with the heat and the design, but this gets hot under load. Overall, the Razer Blade Advanced Model is fantastic despite some oversights and slight issues.

Heck, $3,000 is more than I spent building my desktop PC, which isn’t nearly as good looking but does have better performance. So while I’m not sure I’d want to drop this much on a laptop—even one as good as the Blade 15 Advance—as I (and Ferris) said before, if you’ve got the means, it is so choice.
