Pieces of a Woman
Netflix has done a worldwide distribution deal for the just premiered drama “Pieces of a Woman” starring Vanessa Kirby and Shia LaBeouf. Kata Weber penned the script while Molly Parker, Sarah Snook, Iliza Shlesinger, Benny Safdie, Jimmie Falls and Ellen Burstyn co-star.

The story follows a couple, a young mother and her salt-of-the-earth husband struggling after a failed home birth and marks the English-language debut of Hungarian filmmaker Kornel Mundruczo (“White God”). Kirby won the top acting prize at this year’s Venice Film Festival yesterday for her work here. [Source: THR]

Red Notice
Production on Netflix’s big-budget heist feature “Red Notice,” starring Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson, has resumed after shutting down in mid-Match due to the pandemic. Reynolds made the announcement on social media. [Source: Twitter]

Pixie
Saban Films is closing a deal for North American distribution rights to the Olivia Cooke and Alec Baldwin-led comedic thriller “Pixie”. Cooke plays the titular woman who wants to avenge her mother’s death by masterminding a heist.

Her plans go awry and she finds herself on the run across the wild Irish countryside with two young men (Ben Hardy, Daryl McCormack) who are way out of their depth and being chased by a psychotic hitman and a gang of gun-toting priests. Colm Meaney also stars with Barnaby Thompson directing. [Source: Saban Films]

Stray Dogs
“Game Night” scribe Mark Perez will write the script. for “Stray Dogs,” an animated feature adaptation of the upcoming Image Comics horror title which has been setup at Paramount Animation.

Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner penned the book described as “Silence of the Lambs meets Lady and the Tramp.” “IT” writer and “Annabelle Comes Home” director Gary Dauberman will produce and he dubs it a “really dark story”. [Source: Heat Vision]
