Quick News: Paramount, Oliphant, CBS, Wayward

Paramount Network

Paramount Network
Paramount Network will remain Paramount Network after the cable channel has scrapped plans to rebrand as the Paramount Movie Network. The reasoning is due to both COVID-19, and the success of “Yellowstone” which has become a ratings juggernaut. [Source: Variety]

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
Harry Bradbeer (“Fleabag,” “Ramy,” “Killing Eve”) is reportedly set to direct MGM and Hello Sunshine’s film adaptation of Gail Honeyman’s best-selling novel “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine”.

The story follows an out-of-the-ordinary heroine who goes from living a lonely life to realizing the only way to survive is to open your heart. Georgia Pritchett will adapt, with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter producing. [Source: Deadline]

CBS
CBS has picked up first-year breakout “Ghosts” for a second season, and its Monday comedies “The Neighborhood” and “Bob Hearts Abishola” for fourth and third seasons respectively.

Combined with “Young Sheldon,” currently in the first year of a three-season pickup, that sees the four shows most-watched comedies on TV for the current season continuing on into the 2022-23 season. [Source: THR]

Wayward Realms
The open-world RPG “The Wayward Realms,” which hails from original “The Elder Scrolls” creators Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay, has released a new trailer – one offering a darker take than the previous teaser suggested.

The game is set in the Archipelago, a collection of over 100 islands inhabited by different factions looking to expand their power. You must complete quests and defeat powerful creatures and rivals alike.
