The Lost City of D
The first official photo has been released of Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock filming the on-adventure rom-com “The Lost City of D” from directors Adam and Aaron Nee. It follows on from a recent social media post by Tatum who revealed he is going completely naked for a scene in the film.

The “Romancing the Stone”-esque film stars Bullock as a reclusive romance novelist stuck on a book tour with her cover model until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure. Paramount will release the film on April 15th 2022. [Source: Instagram]

Dune
Denis Villeneuve’s highly-anticipated sci-fi epic “Dune” is all but confirmed to be a part of this year’s Venice Film Festival line-up. The title is expected to have its world premiere on the Lido during the September 1st-11th run of the festival. The movie is then opening in cinemas internationally in the back half of September and in the United States on October 1st. [Source: Deadline]

Val
Amazon Studios has acquired the U.S. and Latin American rights to Leo Scott and Ting Poo’s documentary “Val” produced by A24. Plans are to release the documentary later this year.

Saban Films
Saban Films has announced that its theatrical features will be available to stream for free on Roku Channel within three months of their theatrical release. The deal marks the first pay-one licensing agreement for Roku.

The first title will be the Patrick Schwarzenegger-led crime drama “Echo Boomers”. Others on the way include “Happily,” “Percy vs Goliath,” and “Under the Stadium Lights”. [Source: The Wrap]

John Wick: Chapter 4
Japanese-British pop star Rina Sawayama is set to make her feature film acting debut in an undisclosed starring role in “John Wick: Chapter 4” for Lionsgate.

Chad Stahelski helms the new film penned by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. Shooting is slated to begin this Summer on location in France, Germany, and Japan. [Source: Lionsgate]
