Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
The upcoming “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City,” a whole new live-action adaptation of the horror game series, has been granted an R-rating by the MPAA due to “strong violence and gore, and language throughout”. Kaya Scodelario, Avan Jogia, Tom Hopper, Robbie Amell, Hannah John-Kamen and Neal McDonough co-star in the film which opens November 24th. [Source: Bloody Disgusting]

Willow
James Newton Howard (“The Dark Knight,” “The Fugitive”) has been set to compose the score for the Disney+ “Willow” sequel TV series. Howard takes over from the late James Horner who handled the music on Ron Howard’s 1989 original film.

Warwick Davis will reprise his role as Willow Ufgood in the series in which Princess Kit (Ruby Cruz) has to save her twin brother who has been kidnapped. No release date has been set. [Source: Score: The Podcast]

Creative Emmy Awards
“The Queen’s Gambit” dominated the first wave of this year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards, nabbing seven trophies in this first of three presentations ahead of next weekend’s PrimeTime Emmy Awards. Other top winners included “The Mandalorian,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Pose” with three wins each; while “The Crown,” “WandaVision” and “Ted Lasso” took two each. [Source: Variety]

Metroid Dread
Nintendo and developer MercurySteam have released a new trailer for the upcoming “Metroid Dread” game which looks into the bounty hunter character Samus Aran and the villains he’ll face on the unexplored Planet ZDR. “Metroid Dread” launches for Nintendo Switch on October 8th.
