Dungeons and Dragons
Daisy Head (“Shadow and Bone”), has signed on for the untitled “Dungeons & Dragons” film adaptation at Paramount Pictures and eOne.
Head joins a growing cast that includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Rege-Jean Page, Hugh Grant, and Sophia Lillis. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley co-wrote and are co-directing the film with production now underway. [Source: Deadline]
Netflix Games
Netflix is reportedly looking to hire an executive to oversee a video games division and have been approaching veteran game industry executives about it over the past few weeks.
Netflix has dabbled in interactive entertainment in the past, and more recently reports have suggested they have been looking into possible future game adaptations of their original IP. [Source: The Information]
The Antisocial Network
Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo (“Orange is the New Black”) have signed on to pen the film adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s “The Antisocial Network” at MGM.
The book deals with the GameStop stock issues earlier this year and how a ragtag group of amateur investors, gamers and Internet trolls brought Wall Street to its knees. Michael DeLuca is producing. [Source: Deadline]
Titans
HBO Max has announced a release in August of the third season of its DC superhero series “Titans”. The arrival comes over a year since the second season wrapped its thirteen-episode run.
In addition, the main cast has posted a video about the news as the numerous Australian and American accents talk about it whilst on set as the new episodes are still filming.
