After starring in one of the definitive espionage films of the last twenty years with “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” Oscar-winner Gary Oldman is returning to the genre for a new Apple TV+ series.
“Show Horses” is a six-episode drama series adaptation of the CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning novels by Mick Herron. The story follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 – Slough House.
Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible head of Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes. Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Jack Lowden and Olivia Cooke co-star.
The first two episodes will debut on Friday, April 1st on the Apple TV+ service followed by one new episode weekly every Friday. Will Smith (“Veep”) is adapting the series for TV while Graham Yost executive produces. James Hawes directs all six episodes.
