For the first time, the Oscars this year will feature a “Fan Favorite” category voted by fans on Twitter. The Academy on Monday released a list of frontrunners so far based on the votes that have come in, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Dune, The Suicide Squad, Cinderella, and more are finalists so far.

Army of the Dead, Cinderella, Dune, Malignant, Minamata, The Power of the Dog, Sing 2, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Suicide Squad, And Tick, Tick…Boom are the 10 finalists as of this week. The Academy listed the finalists in alphabetical order and not necessarily by votes, so we don’t know which movie has received the most votes so far. It’s also possible a flood of votes comes in for another film before voting closes on March 3.

Additionally, three Twitter users will get selected for an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to present one of the awards for next year’s Oscars in 2023. Users can vote up to 20 times per day. Voting is also available through the Academy Awards website. The awards show itself takes place on March 27.

In 2019, the Academy created a Most Popular Film category, but the organization scrapped plans for it after Academy members spoke out against it. The Fan Favorite category this year is not an official Oscars category, but it’s still a chance for a film to be recognized.

The Power of the Dog leads the 94th Academy Awards with nine nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director for Jane Campion. The other nine movies nominated for Best Picture are Coda, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, Dune, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley, and West Side Story.
