Netflix-turned-Pop TV comedy “One Day at a Time” has been cancelled for a second time following a truncated fourth season.
The critically acclaimed reboot of the long-running Norman Lear comedy aired for three seasons on Netflix before being cancelled in March 2019. Four months later, it was revived by Pop TV for a 13-episode fourth season, which debuted on March 24th.
However the coronavirus pandemic froze production after six episodes. A seventh episode that was animated was produced but then the network ended the season.
Now it has officially axed the series, joining the also cancelled “Florida Girls” and “Flack” with the latter ending at Amazon Prime. A second reprieve is unlikely as the show’s absence from screens for much of the past two years has seen the chatter about it fade.
