After nearly two decades of being in business together, filmmaker Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. Pictures are reportedly going their separate ways.
A new report in The Wall Street Journal indicates the pair have split and the reason was said to be “in part because he was disappointed with the studio’s hybrid distribution strategy for 2021”.
Nolan has been very vocal and very public about his disapproval of Warners’ day-and-date HBO Max release strategy for all its theatrical releases this year, famously dubbing the outlet the “worst streaming service” on the market.
At present neither Nolan nor the studio have commented on a potential separation.
