Name Revealed! Hilaria Baldwin Shares Meaning Behind 5th Child’s Moniker

It’s all in the name! Hilaria Baldwin revealed the moniker that she and husband Alec Baldwin chose for their newborn son.

The Spain native, 36, posted a photo of the couple’s newest addition to Instagram on Thursday, September 10. Along with the adorable shot, she confirmed that they named their child Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin.

“We would love to introduce you to Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin 🤍,” she captioned the adorable photo. “Born Sept 8, 2020 at 7:46 pm 🤍 , he weighed 7lbs 8oz.”

The “Mom Brain” podcast host added, “His name means ‘wealthy guardian of peace and light’ 🤍. We love you baby Edu 🤍.”

Hilaria and the 62-year-old 30 Rock alum announced the arrival of their son Eduardo via Instagram one day earlier. The duo, who wed in 2012, shared the same photo of themselves sitting on a hospital bed as Hilaria held up their newborn.

“We had a baby last night. He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier 🌟. Stay tuned for a name🤍,” Hilaria wrote.

The Saturday Night Live actor captioned his post: “Número Cinco está aqui … (Para mi, número seis).” His statement translates to “Number five is here … (For me, number six).”

In addition to Eduardo, Hilaria and Alec share Carmen, 7, Rafael, 5, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 2. The It’s Complicated actor also shares his 24-year-old daughter, Ireland, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Hilaria announced the “great news” of her pregnancy via Instagram in April. At the time, she posted a video that featured her growing baby bump as she listened to her baby’s heartbeat. The milestone came after the writer suffered two miscarriages last year.

After her April miscarriage, she opened up about destigmatizing a woman’s loss of pregnancy. “I think it’s important to show the truth … because my job is to help people by being real and open. I have no shame or embarrassment with this experience,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “I want to be a part of the effort to normalize miscarriage and remove the stigma from it. There is so much secrecy during the first trimester.”

Hilaria continued, “There is so much secrecy during the first trimester. This works for some, but I personally find it to be exhausting. I’m nauseous, tired, my body is changing. And I have to pretend that everything is just fine — and it truly isn’t. I don’t want to have to pretend anymore.”
