McCarthy, Falcone Lead “God’s Favorite Idiot”

Melissa McCarthy and her filmmaker husband Ben Falcone are re-teaming with Netflix for the workplace comedy series “God’s Favorite Idiot”.

The story revolves around mid-level tech support employee Clark Thompson (Falcone), who finds love with co-worker Amily Luck at the exact same time he becomes the unwitting messenger of God.

This marks the pair’s sixth collaboration and second with Netflix after recently completing the film “Thunder Force”. The project has gone straight-to-series with an order for sixteen episodes.

Michael McDonald (“Nobodies”) will serve as director and executive producer.
