Maya Jama is flames as she serves up Legally Blonde vibes while kicking back on pink lilo

Maya Jama took fans behind-the-scenes of her latest shoot and it’s giving us all the Legally Blonde vibes.

The radio presenter, 26, was working on a new project with haircare brand Aussie Hair and it saw her stripping down to her bikini and kicking back in a paddling pool in a garden in London.

Of course, Maya looked total flames in her swimwear and – given the purpose of the shoot – her glorious locks were styled to perfection.

But, she also seemed to be channelling her inner Elle Woods as one particular moment, that saw Maya chilling on a pink lilo float in the pool, took us right back to the Delta Nu sorority sister’s Harvard video essay.

You know the bit, where Elle’s just hanging out on her lilo while ‘recalling hundreds of important details at the drop of a hat’ – yeah, that’s the one.

Maya, meanwhile, joked that she was being a princess, while floating around and captioned her video: ‘Doing up GIRTHY shooting with @aussiehair today.’

She shared plenty of teaser pics from her bikini shoot that saw Maya rocking a cute purple bikini while working the camera like a pro.

Her latest project comes after Maya fans were surprised to hear rapper Drake giving her a shoutout in his new track Only You Freestyle with Headie One.

‘Chubbs might jam this yute for a chain,’ he spits when freestyling the first line, then adding: ‘And gave it to a sweet one, called that Maya Jama.’

Maya, who recently quit her presenting role on BBC Radio 1, hasn’t commented on the casual name drop, but fans were keen to know what her ex Stormzy made of it.

‘Drake calling Maya Jama a sweet one on the opening verse… Stormzy is somewhere SCREAMING,’ tweeted one fan.

Another said: Drake dropping Maya Jama’s name. Stormzy you have 24 hours to respond.’

Maya and Stormzy were together for four years, before splitting in August last year, with the Vossi Bop hit-maker previously saying he would love for a reconciliation to be on the cards.

Addressing their relationship, Maya has said that she now feels like she’s known on her own, following her split from Stormzy, and she’s now getting recognition for her career away from her private life.

‘I understood at the time. He was – he is – massive in the public eye and a lot of people didn’t know who I was,’ she told The Guardian. ‘But now I do feel people know my name separately, and it does feel like I’m coming into my own. It feels like I’m finally getting recognition for my hard work.’
