An insane amount of talent has signed on for The Bullitts singer-songwriter turned filmmaker Jeymes Samuel’s new all-black western film “The Harder They Fall”.
“Lovecraft Country” breakout Jonathan Majors plays outlaw Nat Love who discovers that the man (Idris Elba) who killed his parents two decades ago is being released from prison. He reunites with his gang to track his enemy down and seek his revenge.
Joining the battle will be the likes of Regina King (“Watchmen,” “If Beale Street Could Talk”), Lakeith Stanfield (“Knives Out,” “Sorry to Bother You”), Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2,” “Joker”), Delroy Lindo (“The Good Fight,” “Da 5 Bloods”), Laz Alonso (“The Boys,” “Avatar”), Edi Gathegi (“Twilight,” “X-Men: First Class”) and RJ Cyler (“Power Rangers,” “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”).
Samuel co-wrote the script with Boaz Yakin while Jay-Z, Samuel, James Lassiter, and Lawrence Bender will also produce. Jay-Z and Samuel previously teamed on “The Great Gatsby” soundtrack and Jay-Z will be writing and producing original music for this.
