Marvel Studios is reportedly developing a project based around the character of Nova (aka. Richard Rider) and has set Sabir Pirzada to write. Pirzada recently worked in the writer’s room on Marvel’s “Moon Knight” series debuting next week.
At present, it is unknown if “Nova” will be developed as a feature film or a limited series for the Disney+ service, but either way Kevin Feige will produce.
In the comics, Nova is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps for which he gained superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, flight and resistance to injury.
The character has had run-ins with the Skrulls who have been a part of “Captain Marvel” and the upcoming limited series “Secret Invasion”.
