Mango has a new homeware collection – and you’re going to want every piece

Various lockdowns have made us want to give our homes a little TLC.

The star players of the high street that we usually turn to are TK Maxx, Zara Home, Oliver Bonas and H&M Home. But an unlikely retailer has just dropped a new homeware collection – and you’re bound to want every piece.

Mango has just launched a brand new range inspired by the Spanish brand’s roots – the Mediterranean.

‘Mediterranean lifestyle and culture are within the brand’s DNA and the main sources of inspiration of this project,’ an announcement explains.

‘The home is one of the key meeting points in Mediterranean culture, where intimate moments and the small pleasures of everyday life are shared with loved ones.’

Mango’s offering features pieces for practically every room in the house, with bed linen, cushions, blankets, candles – and it looks like products for kitchens and dining areas are launching later in the year.

As for designs, there are neutral cushions and lemon bed linens, as well as nautical stripes, with touches of blue and green.

The announcement adds: ‘The aesthetic of this initial collection is based on clean and refined Mediterranean style, with a contemporary design that combines neutral colours. Quality and attention to detail are the two key elements of each product.’

As well as being aesthetically-pleasing, 75% of the textiles used have sustainable properties – having been produced in linen or sustainable cotton.

Mango has also said that 80% of the items are produced in countries close to Spain and the brand has taken steps to reduce the use of plastic packaging in deliveries.
